UK Office News

The UK office celebrated Shrove Tuesday by holding a Pancake and Donut Day on February 9th. In the UK the pancakes are traditionally served with lemon juice and sugar; we also had some with syrup and Nutella. Our colleague Aleksandra brought us some traditional Polish jelly-filled pastries to honour Polish Donut Day. Thank you to Natalie and Aleksandra for organising the perfect afternoon “tea”!

    • Actively and regularly check in with the consultants on their activities for the department and decide if this is news for 5@5 or FRED.
    • Speak to their team leads and managers regularly for any information they might have for the 5@5 and FRED, such as upcoming staff news, deals, markets, projects, Finfo/academy info. etc.
    • Inform their teams and managers when something has changed regarding communications (any changes that they hear about from Marcom).

Oscar Winners & Nominees!

Again this year, we are very pleased to be involved in many of the pictures that have been nominated for an Oscar (The Revenant, The Big Short, Carol, Room, The Hateful Eight, Joy, Brooklyn, Sicario, Anomalisa, When Marnie Was There).

We are especially proud of our involvement (both Licensing and CAM) with the best picture Oscar winner “Spotlight”, based on a true story about a team of Boston Globe reporters who bring to light the abuse and cover-up in the Catholic Church. Spotlight features Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery and Brian d’Arcy James.
